Second Annual International Consensus Summit for Sleeve Gastrectomy ICSSG-2

Miami Beach, FL - March 19-21, 2009
This meeting is a three-part summit that incorporates live surgery observation, a full-day course of didactic sessions and case reviews, and finally a consensus panel to determine the effectiveness of LSG as a primary operation.

 

Assessment and Management of Overweight and Obese Adult Patients

This course was designed for primary care physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals wishing to learn about assessing, managing, and treating overweight and obese patients. Course content was taken from the National Institutes of Health evidence report titled Clinical Guidelines on the Identification, Evaluation, and Treatment of Overweight and Obesity in Adults.

 

Office Management of Obesity

This course focuses on the clinical assessment of obesity, the different treatment modalities available for the disease, and the techniques to assist patients in making lifestyle changes. In addition, useful information for creating a suitable office environment and strategies to facilitate reimbursements are also covered in the course.
